DID YOU KNOW?  -- Three years before the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, Serbs torched Bosniak villages and killed at least 3,166 Bosniaks around Srebrenica. In 1993, the UN described the besieged situation in Srebrenica as a "slow-motion process of genocide." In July 1995, Serbs forcibly expelled 25,000 Bosniaks, brutally raped many women and girls, and systematically killed 8,000+ men and boys (DNA confirmed).

Subject: Appeal

Everything that has been happening in the last few days on the territory of Srebrenica, Konjevic Polje and Cerska, as well as throughout the free territory in the region, is worse than hell.

SDS /Radovan Karadzic's Serbian Democratic Party/ extremists are attempting to destroy everything that can be destroyed with heavy artillery and infantry attacks. The civilians are the main victims, and there are about 80,000 /of them/ in this area, including refugees and inhabitants who are hungry, sick and exhausted; many of them do not have a roof over their heads. The number of homeless inhabitants increases by the day, and none of the international humanitarian organisations has delivered any aid.

As we have already done on innumerable occasions, we hereby appeal to all international humanitarian organisations, to UNPROFOR, the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to others, to put an end to the bestial attacks of the aggressor on the innocent civilian population.

Aid in the form of food, medicine, clothes, footwear, blankets and medical supplies, if needed immediately as the number of inhabitants dying continues to rise.

The population is in need of aid, which you can provide if your conscience awakes. If you fail to provide such aid, you will be accomplices to the killing of almost eighty thousand inhabitants of Srebrenica, Konjevic Polje an Cerska; we would also like to remind you of the presence of refugees from five neighbouring municipalities.
