Subject: Appeal

It seems as if the darkest forebodings are becoming true, that the area of Srebrenica is doomed to die. Hunger and contagious diseases took peoples' lives so far, but now they are threatening the whole population.

All of us are hungry, and more than half is sick. Only yesterday 14 inhabitants died. However, as if all previous warnings, appeals and requests have not been heard at all.

Srebrenica area is the area of the hungry and the sick - the area of death. Nobody even thinks about saving this part of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and helping the unfortunate population.

Where are representatives of the High Commissariat for Refugees, UNPROFOR, UNICEF, humanitarian organisations, and the world public? Why doesn't RBiH Presidency take any concrete steps?

This area should have been helped a long time ago. It can still be done. This is why we appeal and ask the above-mentioned bodies and the whole world public to help us and send a convoy with humanitarian aid immediately.

Another danger, like the Sward of Damocles, hovers above Srebrenica. It is the army of the so-called Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, located in Bajina Basta and in the occupied area of Skelani, and up and downstream of Drina River. It is Uzice Corps [Serbian Army] with general Ojdanic, who issues daily orders on shelling of the free territory of Srebrenica and threatens to completely destroy it.

At the same time, Cosic and Milosevic are deluding the world talking about an aggression against the so-called Yugoslavia, referring to fighters and population of Srebrenica.

We repeat -- can this barehanded people execute aggression against a territory where non-stop active modern artillery and even aviation is located?

This is why we hereby appeal on all above officials to send their representatives to this area and see the truth.
