DID YOU KNOW?  -- Three years before the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, Serbs torched Bosniak villages and killed at least 3,166 Bosniaks around Srebrenica. In 1993, the UN described the besieged situation in Srebrenica as a "slow-motion process of genocide." In July 1995, Serbs forcibly expelled 25,000 Bosniaks, brutally raped many women and girls, and systematically killed 8,000+ men and boys (DNA confirmed).

Rob Benner, former Srebrenica Dutchbat III peacekeeper, expressed his remorse for not being able to do more to protect Bosniaks from Serbian thugs led by Ratko Mladic in/around Srebrenica. Here is his story:

"We saw all the buses and trucks with the Muslim men and boys in them taken away. They took them to an Olympic stadium and they put machine guns in the terraces where the people normally sit, and then they killed them. Later on I saw bulldozers full of people - arms sticking out, legs sticking out. Of course I feel guilty, I couldn't do anything about it, we had no weapons, we had nothing."
