DID YOU KNOW?  -- Three years before the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, Serbs torched Bosniak villages and killed at least 3,166 Bosniaks around Srebrenica. In 1993, the UN described the besieged situation in Srebrenica as a "slow-motion process of genocide." In July 1995, Serbs forcibly expelled 25,000 Bosniaks, brutally raped many women and girls, and systematically killed 8,000+ men and boys (DNA confirmed).

WHY IS EWA TABEAU USING OUTDATED NUMBERS OF SREBRENICA VICTIMS?

On a trial of Zdravko Tolimir, the Hague Tribunal's prosecution 'expert' Ewa Tabeau used her outdated report from 2009 stating that the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) identified -- through DNA -- 5,061 victims of the Srebrenica genocide.

However, according to the ICMP, as of July 2010 a total of 6,481 Srebrenica massacre vicims have been positively identified through advanced forensic DNA technology. Why she refuses to use updated data on the number of Srebrenica victims remains to be seen.

Tabeau, who is widely considered 'expert' on all issues relating to demographic statistics, has been a major player in Bosnia's numbers game. She successfully demolished a "myth" that 200,000 people were either dead or missing in Bosnia, number which accurately portrayed situation during the war (many people were simply missing during the war, so Bosnia's Prime Minister used the figure of 200,000 to refer to killed AND missing.)

As an activist who is paid by the Hague Tribunal's and who could care less about Bosnia and the victims of Srebrenica massacre, Tabeau continues to present outdated and inaccurate data to the international judges -- perhaps she is hoping to minimize the number of Srebrenica victims, too?

We encourage employees of the Tribunal to contact us individually and let us know what do they think about Ewa Tabeau's activism and misrepresentation / minimization of the Srebrenica genocide at the Hague.
