The Academy holds meetings which provide an opportunity to hear distinguished speakers report about current work in the sciences, arts, humanities, and topics of general interest. These presentations are designed to be stimulating and interesting to all, the lay person as well as the scholar. All lectures are free and open to the public and are announced in university calendars, local newspapers, and by direct mail to Academy members.
Eight monthly presentations are held during the academic year from September to May on the campuses of Yale University and Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Trinity College in Hartford, Wesleyan University in Middletown, the University of Connecticut in Storrs, and at other educational sites. In recent years, Academy members and their guests have gathered for dinner after the presentations.
