DID YOU KNOW?  -- Three years before the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide, Serbs torched Bosniak villages and killed at least 3,166 Bosniaks around Srebrenica. In 1993, the UN described the besieged situation in Srebrenica as a "slow-motion process of genocide." In July 1995, Serbs forcibly expelled 25,000 Bosniaks, brutally raped many women and girls, and systematically killed 8,000+ men and boys (DNA confirmed).

RUDOLF HREN (CROAT) BURIED IN THE SREBRENICA GENOCIDE MEMORIAL

"Rudolf is buried among the friends he stayed with until the last day." - Barbara Hren (mother)

Burial casket of a Bosnian Catholic Rudolf Hren. Today, he was laid to rest among his Bosnian Muslim friends in the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial in Potocari.

A Bosnian Croat man, Rudolf Hren, shared the fate of more than 8,000 of his Bosniak neighbours when he was killed in 1995 Srebrenica genocide. He lived in Srebrenica before and during the war and was killed following the fall of Srebrenica.

"They asked me if I wanted him to be buried elsewhere because this is mainly a Muslim graveyard," said his mother, Barbara Hren. "He died with them. Let him rest with them."
